SNOW! Barely!
B-r-r-r-r-r-r, it’s cold! Snowing but not sticking. It is unusual for us to have snow this early. The predictions are for a harsh winter here. Hmmm, they seem to be onto something!
Dave and I worked in the yard yesterday. We covered our dahlias; no we don’t winter them over inside. Mostly they do pretty well. Chase helped us clean the roof; trim a tree and we put away the geraniums. It was a bittersweet kind of day as Chase was leaving late in the afternoon to head back to Jackson, Wyoming. We probably won’t see him until April of next year. He’s thrilled to be heading out. He’s got a good job and will ski away the winter!

We also cut another mat for circle time. Actually we cut two. My husband is a former boy scout and you can never be too prepared. It started snowing when we started measuring, around 10:30 am this morning. We cut our 48 inch circles using a pin, pencil and string. It worked great.
String, pin and pencil make a perfect circle!
Laura is at a quilt retreat this weekend. Jon, Laura’s husband, came outside and we made him promise to tell Laura that we were working on the business, outside, in the snow. Do you think she’ll believe us? Probably not!
Anyway, I have been busy priming some beautiful fabric for the new Circle Time Floor Mat we cut. It’s called Le Jardin de Papillons by Chris Chun for Clothworks. Check it out below.

I have a busy week ahead as I’m sure many of you do too. In addition to Thanksgiving, Chelsea is celebrating a birthday. So we’ll be celebrating and giving thanks. Laura and Jon will be spending the holiday with their girls. They have something fun planned that I will share with you next week.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday! I will leave you with photos from my yard. There is a quiet beauty this time of year and I have a new camera to record it. Enjoy!

Finally, I'll leave you with a photo the flower pot by my door. I livened it up for the winter.
