Seattle Bound
Good Morning! Laura and I are heading to Seattle this morning to visit our friends at Clothworks. We are so excited! We are thrilled to tour their offices where all of the stunning fabrics are worked on and created. Whooo hoooo, it’s a dream come true for us! We will also deliver floor mats that are destined to quilt market in Minneapolis. Such a generous offer! Of course, I am going to take pictures! Stay tuned!
Another bit of great news. Quiltmaker's Small Quilts Magazine (Summer 2010 edition)has our floor mat pattern called Woodland Village featured on page 7!
Last week I promised to tell you about Laura’s weekend with the Tollycraft Yacht group and share pictures if she took them. Well, there are no pictures ( I had to tease her-she’s got to use that camera!) but she and Jon got to meet Mr. Tolly. He is the company founder and designer and a big fan of their particular boat design. Mr. Tolly is in his late nineties so both Laura and Jon considered it a great honor to meet and talk with him. I have to say that anyone with a name like “Mr. Tolly” just has to be great. It has a happy ring to it.
Dave and I visited a friend’s garden over the weekend and took some great pictures. The narcissus were blooming and we were invited to come and take a look. Here are a few shots from my camera:

I am also sending two photos of our floor mats in process:

Above is our Kansas Troubles Quilters 4' X 6" mat.

Above. Clothworks Luna Blooms! Such fun fabric to work with! In our newest circle mat design debuting in Minneapolis! We can't wait to show it off! This mat will be in Clothworks booth.
Well, this week the news is short and sweet as I have to get ready for my excursion to the city. Be sure to stay tuned!
