Pattern of the Month Highlights

Introducing our newest pattern called Winslow Wallet. We know, we know, there are lots of wallets out there. What makes ours different? We tailored it exactly to what we need, a place for cash separate from credit cards and punch cards. A coin purse. Simple and efficient, and oh, so easy to sew! We made 17 during the holidays. Really. Order this pattern today. You will be glad you did! BGQ1201

What a Surprise!

What a Surprise!

Thursday night, Dave and I are sound asleep and the bedroom door flies open!  Chase, our son, in the flesh all the way from Wyoming!  We had not laid eyes on our boy since last October!  Blurry, sleepy eyes now trying to grasp what our joyful hearts already register!  Oh, the bliss!  There is nothing like having your kids home and Dave and I are still so happy we can’t stand it!  I should have taken a picture but I was so stunned!

Friday was another exciting day as we were getting ready for a special dinner of fresh, barbequed halibut and we can’t figure out why Chelsea isn’t home yet.  It’s after 6 pm.  So I call her and she tells me she isn’t allowed.  Isn’t allowed?  What in the world is she talking about?  She instructs me to peak out the window and see if there are kids outside.  No.  But I do see lots of purple and gold balloons outside the window lining Laura’s fence.  Chelsea tells me to run out and look at them.  So I do.

Chelsea’s official invitation to Prom, spelled out in U. of W. colors!  Take a look.

Of course Chelsea said yes!  Trent is her good friend and they’ve attended lots of dances together in high school.  She is thrilled!  And now she can come home!  Chelsea’s girlfriend was in on the secret of the balloons and kept her at bay so the balloons could be installed!  Such a fun and creative way to ask a girl to a dance.

In the middle of all of this excitement, Laura and I are working hard to get ready for market.  We are in floor-mat-making-high-gear.

Sunday I had another “art” birthday celebration with great friends Karen (birthday girl), Susan and Cathy.  We spent the day at the Museum of Glass in Tacoma.  We had a fabulous time!  Here is our picture just outside (L to R are Cathy, Susan, Karen and me).  I highly recommend a visit if you are in the area.

Laura and Jon were at a TollyCraft Boats gathering over the weekend.  Haven't seen Laura yet to hear the details.  Hopefully she took some pictures that I will share next week, but for now, gotta go.  Sooooo much to do before market!  Have a great week.
