Pattern of the Month Highlights
Introducing our newest pattern called Winslow Wallet. We know, we know, there are lots of wallets out there. What makes ours different? We tailored it exactly to what we need, a place for cash separate from credit cards and punch cards. A coin purse. Simple and efficient, and oh, so easy to sew! We made 17 during the holidays. Laura and Lynnette are next door neighbors and dear friends. Laura's grandparents and Lynnette's husband Dave's grandparents - both Swedes and church friends - purchased property on Bainbridge Island way back in the twenties. Over the years, Bainbridge has become a bedroom community of Seattle and is a short 35 minute ferry ride away.
The cabins housed many delightful family gatherings every summer and both Laura and Lynnette have fourth generation children enjoying the property. Summer cabins gave way to year around living. Laura has a great business sense having owned a Hallmark store for 16 years. Lynnette is a practicing artist. Years ago when the kids were small, the two women took a quilting class because they both liked sewing. Well, the quilting passion never ended and they've been working together growing this business since 2003!
Laura and Lynnette are excited to be designing fabric with Clothworks. They continue to be inspired by their surroundings, their family and the many wonderful people they meet in the quilting world.
