Pattern of the Month Highlights
Do you love dogs? We do. And we love sewing! So one day we were thinking about it and decided to put the two together. What could be better than picking out your own fabric and embellishments and proudly walking your dog around the neighborhood? Your pooch can be a trend setter! We combine a strengthener and snap hook (included in the pattern) and you combine your creative touch and fabric selection. In about 45 minutes you've got a fun new leash! And they are washable (just hang them to dry!) Fun and easy! Pattern #BGQ1006.
Laura and Lynnette are next door neighbors and dear friends. Laura's grandparents and Lynnette's husband Dave's grandparents - both Swedes and church friends - purchased property on Bainbridge Island way back in the twenties. Over the years, Bainbridge has become a bedroom community of Seattle and is a short 35 minute ferry ride away.
The cabins housed many delightful family gatherings every summer and both Laura and Lynnette have fourth generation children enjoying the property. Summer cabins gave way to year around living. Laura has a great business sense having owned a Hallmark store for 16 years. Lynnette is a practicing artist. Years ago when the kids were small, the two women took a quilting class because they both liked sewing. Well, the quilting passion never ended and they've been working together growing this business since 2003!
